Residency Rule: Those residing within league boundaries (generally Westover, Downtown, Mid City,West Side, Southend, Shippan, Cove) are eligible to play. Before registering, please review our league boundary map, found on this website, to make sure you qualify to play in Stamford National Little League. If you played in the league last year but have moved to an address outside the league’s boundaries you remain eligible to play in Stamford National, though additional paperwork is required. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
For returning players (those who played in Stamford National in Spring 2019), no age or residency documentation is required.
Please contact the Player Agent via email if you have moved to an address that is outside the league’s boundaries. While you remain eligible to play in Stamford National, additional paperwork is required.
All new players (did not play in Stamford National in Spring 2019) will need to provide copies of three (3) different forms of proof of residency (e.g. utility bill, cable bill, parent/guardian driver’s license, etc.) and the child’s birth certificate. These documents can be provided at the in-person registration, by mail, or by email. If sending the documents by mail, PLEASE DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS. If you have any questions, contact
NOTE: ALL players, including returning players, must retain in their own records copies of three (3) bills that show proof of residency dated between 2/01/19 and 2/01/20.
School Rule: In addition to residing within the league’s boundaries, kids are allowed to play for the league where their school is located, regardless of where you live. This means that children attending the following schools are also eligible to play little league with Stamford National: Hart, KT Murphy, Rogers, Roxbury, Stillmeadow, Westover, Cloonan, Strawberry Hill School, Waterside School, and Trailblazers Academy. You and the school will be required to complete a form (located on the home page; one form with a section for each). The residency documents are not required under the school rule.
- This year, only one evaluation (of catching, throwing and hitting) will be held for all players age 8 and up on March 7th at Stillmeadow School.
- This evaluation will be used for the Majors division draft, the AAA division draft, and team placement for the AA division.
- By Little League rule, players league aged 10-12 who wish to be eligible for the Majors division, MUST attend the evaluation on March 7th, even if you've played in Majors before. With few exceptions, all league age 12 players are required to play at the Majors level and need to attend this evaluation. Please email
if your player is Majors eligible and absolutely unable to attend on March 7.
- Tryout/evaluation times for your age group are posted when available.
Our division structure is listed in the "Fact Sheets by Division" - a link to this can be found on the home page.
New volunteers are always welcome; especially coaches at the lower divisions (need not be a baseball expert and coaches clinics are provided). Sign up when registering your child, either online or on the registration form.
Teams for all divisions will be formed by April 1. Games will begin in mid-April and run through mid-June. Practices will be communicated by coaches once teams are formed.
